President Trump has claimed that he turned down a Secret Service plan to demolish the Oval Office. He stated that the White House was in poor condition before his renovations. Trump defended his construction work, calling the pre-renovation state a 'disgraceful dump'. The Secret Service had proposed the demolition due to the White House's state. Trump's comments come amid ongoing discussions about the Oval Office's future use. The White House has not commented on the matter.
