A 70-year-old man passed away on a Jet2 flight. He started behaving aggressively during the journey. Crew members and other travellers restrained him. The plane was travelling from Larnaca to Manchester.
Authorities are investigating how he was secured. They are assessing whether the actions taken were appropriate. The airline claimed they acted to ensure safety.
On a separate flight, passengers also restrained the pilot, who appeared unwell. The flight touched down without incident. Regional authorities are now pushing towards stricter rules to reduce in-flight violence.
