A marine mammal was relocated from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario to a Chicago aquarium. It died a short time later. The move took place before the death.
Marineland also relocated four dolphins and two belugas to an aquarium in Spain. Now the park has no remaining dolphins. Only belugas stay at the park.
The transfer made the facility quieter. Staff check water and health. Visitors see far fewer animals. The park’s visitor count decreased.
The wooded surroundings have not changed. The water remains strong. The park retains a small number of belugas. Visitors observe fewer scheduled shows. The water continues to be clear.
