A car suddenly struck three pedestrians on foot outside the M&S premises on Ealing Broadway during the incident on Saturday morning. All three were taken quickly to hospital. An ambulance got there in no time and police helped efficiently the injured on the pavement. No one else was hurt.
Police closed the busy shopping stretch temporarily while they began inquiries. The road stayed shut completely through the afternoon as officers kept thoroughly questioning the scene. Shoppers were sent another detour way and traffic was rerouted, leaving the street calm and serene. The closure caused short brief delays for drivers.
