Polls Open on November 4 Until 7 PM in Cobb County, Georgia

On November 4, 2025, Cobb Elections officials deployed extra equipment, poll workers, and law enforcement at Thompson Park Community Center to ease long lines. The center, located at 555 Nickajack Road, Mableton, serves two precincts but has limited space and parking.

Voters from the Smyrna 7A precinct were temporarily moved to Thompson Park Community Center, where Mableton 4C precinct voters usually cast their ballots. Residents voting there are advised to be patient and expect some wait times as the additional resources take effect.

Extended Poll Hours Due to Technical Issues

On the same day, a Cobb County Judge ordered the Mt. Bethel Church precinct in east Cobb to stay open late. Poll workers faced technical difficulties syncing poll pads, delaying the opening of the polling place at 4385 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, until 7:35 a.m.

"Voters could not use the polling place at the Mt. Bethel Church on Lower Roswell Road until 7:35 a.m., which prompted the order to keep the precinct open to voters until 7:35 p.m."

The technical issue was quickly resolved by a troubleshooting team. This extended the polling hours to accommodate voters who arrived after the delayed opening.
