Camping World is moving forward with plans to open a new facility in St. Albans, aiming for a summer 2026 launch. In September, company representatives met with the town’s Development Review Board to seek site plan approval, providing detailed documents outlining the project timeline and property updates.
Project Background and Timeline
The company first revealed interest in the St. Albans site in 2021 after acquiring the former TC’s RV property at 457 Swanton Road, across from Walmart. While initial construction dates have shifted, current public documents set the building phase for fall 2025 and spring 2026, targeting an opening in summer 2026.
Facility Features
- A 12,000 square-foot building with limited retail space
- A sales lot with 203 parking spaces for RV display
- Five overhead service bays for RV repair services
- A “hospitality island” for RV travelers to empty and refill water and propane
- A large American flag, measuring 40 by 80 feet, mounted on a 130-foot tall flagpole

It will also include “a hospitality island” enabling RV travelers to “empty and refill on water and propane.”
