Alan Carr recently revealed he has escaped to the US ahead of the Celebrity Traitors final, which airs on Thursday. The 49-year-old comedian is one of two remaining Traitors on the BBC reality show, alongside 25-year-old singer Cat Burns. Carr has become a social media sensation due to his sharp one-liners and cheerful demeanor.
Despite this, Carr joked that he has become the “most hated man in the UK” and fled to Orlando, Florida, with his nephew and niece to avoid the intense scrutiny.
“I'm the most hated man in the UK, I've had to come here to Orlando to get away from it. Everyone hates me!”
“I just needed to get away because it's stressful murdering every day. My Christmas card list is getting smaller and smaller.”
Speaking with Heart radio hosts Olly Murs and Mark Wright at their pop-up studio, Carr shared his reason for the trip. Murs humorously suggested he could dress as a Traitor at Universal Studios, noting he could get a cape at Harry Potter World.
Responding, Carr said, “I've come here for a break!” He also joked about riding the famous water slide at Universal's Volcano Bay while wearing the cape and carrying a Traitors lantern.
It was also mentioned that Carr's close friend Paloma Faith is “not happy” with his behaviour on the show.
Comedian Alan Carr fled to Orlando to escape backlash from Celebrity Traitors, joking about becoming the UK's most hated man and needing a break from the stress.
