Monta CEO Reveals Strategy

Many technology companies are building platforms that rely on human teams to oversee electric vehicle (EV) charging operations. According to Monta, this model cannot scale efficiently—it demands high costs, progresses slowly, and is vulnerable to human error.

Instead, Monta promotes a vision centered on full automation through artificial intelligence, viewing it as the only sustainable way to manage the growing complexity of EV infrastructure.

Expanding with AI at the Core

To explain this strategy, Mobility Portal interviewed Casper Rasmussen, Monta’s CEO and co-founder, at the company’s U.S. headquarters. Monta expanded into the United States last year, marking a key step in its international growth.

"As CEO, I spend part of the morning on administrative tasks and meetings with the executive team, the board, and investors. The rest of the day I dedicate to building Monta."

Rasmussen holds a background in electronic engineering and software development, a combination that enables him to deeply engage with technical decisions. His current focus lies heavily on artificial intelligence, which he sees as critical to driving the next wave of product innovation.

"I take part in innovation — especially in AI — which is currently one of my main projects. I also work closely with our customers, both before partnerships and throughout the relationship."

Although Monta entered the market just five years ago, the company has quickly positioned itself as a modern and forward-thinking force in the EV charging industry.
