The first trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday is reportedly set to debut this December alongside James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash. According to Collider, multiple sources confirm that footage from the MCU's next major team-up film will be attached to the latest installment of Disney's blockbuster Avatar series.
Collider notes this plan could still change before Avatar: Fire and Ash premieres in theaters on December 19, 2025. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to open nearly a year later, on December 18, 2026.
Filming for Avengers: Doomsday wrapped in September 2025. While concrete plot details remain limited, the film is confirmed to unite the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and the original X-Men on the big screen for the first time.
Several actors who appeared in previous Marvel projects—including Brie Larson, Famke Janssen, Elizabeth Olsen, Charlie Cox, Andrew Garfield, Halle Berry, and Chris Evans—have either stayed silent or denied reprising their roles in this film. On the other hand, Channing Tatum, returning as Gambit, remarked on the film's scale:
“Avengers: Doomsday will include moments 50 times bigger than when Wesley Snipes' Blade turned up in Deadpool & Wolverine.”
As of this article's publication, Disney had not responded to IGN's request for comment.
This upcoming MCU film promises an unprecedented crossover and an explosive scale, setting high expectations among fans.
