Liverpool boss Arne Slot has ruled two players out of the Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest while confirming that Alisson Becker is fit to return for the match.
Slot stated that Florian Wirtz and Conor Bradley will miss Saturday’s game due to injuries, leaving Liverpool without a recognised right-back. Jeremie Frimpong is also currently absent, with Slot indicating he expects to be unavailable for at least three weeks.
“Alisson trained last week and this week so he will be able to play if things work out today, but we do have some issues after the international break. Conor Bradley is unable to play, Florian Wirtz unable to play. That is far from ideal.”
The Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who has been sidelined since a hamstring injury sustained in the 1-0 defeat at Galatasaray on September 30, is set to return after missing eight matches.
Slot provided further injury updates: “Both muscle issues. I don’t expect Conor to be part of the upcoming 22 days, maybe the end unless a miracle happens. Florian maybe should not be that long.”
