L’Oréal China and Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology arm of Alibaba Group, announced a strategic partnership to implement full-stack AI solutions across various business areas. This collaboration targets enhancements in intelligent customer service, marketing, AI agents, and research and innovation.
Utilizing Alibaba Cloud’s advanced infrastructure and Qwen-based AI capabilities, the partnership aims to improve operational efficiency and elevate consumer interactions within the beauty industry. L’Oréal China has developed an AI-powered agent application that draws on an extensive domain knowledge base to provide precise and intelligent answers for skincare practitioners and streamline communication with consumers.
L’Oréal China’s IT team is also adopting Alibaba Cloud’s AI coding assistant, which helps accelerate software development processes. This is part of the wider collaboration efforts to integrate AI across the company’s operations.
As part of the project, L’Oréal China will build, fine-tune, and deploy AI models using Qwen model families and Alibaba Cloud’s Model Studio, a comprehensive AI development platform.
