Videos on social media show 33-year-old Hyuna performing her 2011 hit "Bubble Pop!" at the Waterbomb Macau music festival on November 9, when she suddenly fainted mid-performance. Two backup dancers quickly helped her before a security staff member carried her off the stage.
The incident raised concern among fans about her health, who are now awaiting official updates on her condition.
Hyuna, formerly part of K-pop groups such as Wonder Girls, 4Minute, and Triple H, posted on Instagram later the same day to apologise and reassure fans she was fine.
“I’m truly sorry. It was only a short time since my last performance, but I wanted to show you my best side.”
She added that she had no memory of fainting and apologised to fans in Macau who had paid to see her perform.
“I’ll try to build up my stamina and work hard consistently. It will be so great if everything goes my way, but I’ll try my best.”
Hyuna, whose full name is Kim Hyun-ah, previously worried fans with an October 3 Instagram post about her eating habits and weight.
“Hyun-ah, you ate way too much. Let’s snap out of it and go on a strict diet. You liked being skinny, right?”
Hyuna’s fainting during a live show has reignited health concerns among her fans, but she quickly reassured them of her well-being and commitment to improve her stamina.
