South Korean pop artist HyunA alarmed fans after she fainted during a live performance at the Waterbomb 2025 Macau festival, just weeks after revealing she had shed 10 kilograms in a single month.
The 33-year-old singer lost consciousness on Sunday while performing her hit song “Bubble Pop.” According to videos shared on social media, she suddenly collapsed mid-performance. Her backup dancers rushed to assist, and event security escorted her off the stage for medical attention.
The frightening moment came soon after HyunA spoke publicly about her rapid weight loss, which she said resulted from a strict diet. Her confession triggered widespread concern among fans and medical professionals. Experts have cautioned that extreme dieting can cause fatigue, dizziness, and nutrient deficiencies, all of which may have contributed to her collapse.
Following her marriage to fellow singer Yong Junhyung last year, HyunA faced ongoing rumors about possible pregnancy after fans noticed slight changes in her appearance. Media outlets such as Chosunbiz reported that the speculation led her to begin a rigorous diet on October 3.
HyunA apologized to fans after the incident, expressing regret for causing worry and thanking them for their continued support.
