Madison Beer on the Maturity and Emotions of 'locket'

After busy days filled with major milestones, Madison Beer sat down with Bru in our Los Angeles studio. She had just walked the runway for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and was freshly energized from announcing her upcoming album, locket, set to release on January 16.

Album Announcement and Emotional Reaction

Hours before joining Bru in the studio, Madison shared the news on social media about her fourth album, which she both wrote and co-produced. Reflecting on her reaction, she said:

“I wasn't anticipating to cry after I posted it. Right before I posted it I had like a sample of the vinyl in my bed, and so I just went live for literally 30 seconds, and flashed it right before I posted just to get people excited and I started like shaking. I ended the live and then I posted my announcement, and just weirdly immediately started like hysterically crying. I don't know why.”

Significance of the Moment

Madison described the release as a symbolic turning point:

“I just think it's kind of the end of an old chapter, the beginning of a new one. There's just so much, so many feelings that come along with it, but yeah, I was hit with like a wave of emotion.”

Summary

Madison Beer reveals how the upcoming album locket marks both an emotional and personal milestone, capturing the complexities of closing one chapter and opening another.
