The Queensland Police Service (QPS) is mourning the unexpected passing of Ian Leavers APM, who served as Queensland Cross-Border Commissioner, former President of the Queensland Police Union of Employees (QPUE), and a long-standing member of the QPS.
Mr. Leavers was found deceased at approximately 9:50 a.m. after officers responded to a call at a Mount Ommaney residence. Authorities confirmed that his death is not being treated as suspicious, and investigations continue.
