Arc Raiders, the new multiplayer extraction shooter from Embark Studios, achieved remarkable success during its launch, selling 1.6 million copies within the first three days. The milestone came just after the game reached a peak of 354,836 concurrent players.
According to data from Steam analytics site Gamalytic, Arc Raiders generated an estimated US$61.1 million in revenue. These figures only represent PC sales, meaning total numbers across all platforms are likely notably higher.
Despite the strong sales, the launch was marred by technical difficulties. During the opening weekend, matchmaking and login problems emerged as servers struggled to handle the surge of over 300,000 active players. At one point, servers were offline for several hours before Embark Studios rolled out fixes.
“As a token of our thanks, we’re sending 500 Raider Tokens to all Raiders who logged in on Sunday (2 November).”
“The servers on Sunday had a wobble,” the developers said humorously, adding, “Scrappy must’ve pecked a few wires loose.”
Embark Studios expressed gratitude to players for their patience, offering 500 free Raider Tokens to everyone who took part during the launch weekend.
Arc Raiders overcame a turbulent launch weekend with major sales and player rewards, confirming strong early interest despite server instability.
