Developer Embark Studios is addressing the recent server problems experienced by players of Arc Raiders. Anyone who logged into the extraction shooter on November 2 will be credited with 500 Raider Tokens as compensation.
The official Arc Raiders account on X confirmed that the servers had instability on Sunday. This coincided with a SteamDB report showing a peak of 354,836 concurrent players on Steam that day.
"We appreciate your patience as our servers had a wobble on Sunday, Scrappy must've pecked a few wires loose, he's been put on the naughty step 🐓 As a token of our thanks, we're sending 500 Raider Tokens to all Raiders who logged in on Sunday."
Arc Raiders has already set a Steam record for extraction shooters with PvP. Additionally, the game is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Epic Games Store, meaning total player numbers are higher than on Steam alone.
Server issues also occurred at the game's launch on October 30, a common situation for multiplayer games reflecting strong player interest. Embark Studios timed the release to fall between Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which supports the demand for Arc Raiders.
Looking ahead, Embark Studios announced they will not introduce "novelty" skins, choosing instead to focus on maintaining the game's core aesthetic.
"Arc Raiders won't add 'novelty' skins, instead focusing on the game's aesthetics."
Summary: Embark Studios compensates players for server disruptions in Arc Raiders and commits to focusing on core game aesthetics instead of novelty skins.
