Mail shipments from Bermuda to Canada will resume next Monday despite ongoing rolling strikes at Canada Post. A spokeswoman for the Bermuda Post Office (BPO) announced the resumption but warned customers that delivery delays may still happen due to continued disruptions.
“The BPO appreciates the public’s patience and co-operation during this time.”
Mail deliveries to Canada were suspended in late September following a nationwide strike by Canada Post workers. Recently, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers shifted from a full strike to a rotating strike, enabling mail services to partly restart.
Additionally, all Bermuda local post offices will close at noon tomorrow for a staff event.
“The BPO apologises for any inconvenience this early closure may cause.”
