Shoshana Bean, known for her role as Elphaba in the Broadway production of Wicked from 2005 to 2006, revealed why she has yet to watch Wicked: Part 1.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at the New York Restoration Project Hulaween Gala on October 24, Bean explained her decision to wait until the release of the sequel, Wicked: For Good, which premieres in theaters this November.
“I waited until the second, so I could watch them back-to-back,”
said Bean, expressing her excitement to experience both films consecutively.
She also shared enthusiasm about the cinematic portrayal of the song “No Good Deed.”
“It’s a very cinematic song, and I would love to see it have more life than what a stage is capable of doing,”
Bean noted, adding,
“I could not even possibly imagine to the extent that Jon Chu’s genius can dream, can create.”
