The Miami-area home of Heat coach Erik Spoelstra caught fire early Thursday morning shortly after the team returned from a road trip. A two-alarm fire broke out at Spoelstra's multi-million dollar residence, located in Miami-Dade County.
The Miami Herald reporters Milena Malaver, Carl Juste, and David Neal covered the incident. The Heat and Spoelstra arrived on a chartered flight from Denver at 5 a.m. ET, approximately 25 minutes after firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
Spoelstra’s home, sitting on a 43,000-square-foot lot and sold for $6.6 million in 2023, features five bedrooms, a pool, and tennis courts. Firefighters battled the blaze for over four hours. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
