Television presenter Ant McPartlin, known for co-hosting I'm A Celebrity with Declan Donnelly, has reportedly left his £6 million Wimbledon residence following a prolonged dispute with neighbours about tree removals.
McPartlin and his wife Anne-Marie had lived in the property since 2019, investing heavily in its renovation. Their upgrades included a swimming pool, two single-storey extensions, and several luxury additions such as a cinema, sun room, large kitchen, and Victorian-style pool changing rooms.
In February 2024, planning documents revealed the couple’s request to remove several trees—four cypress, one pine, and one yew—from their garden. Although protected under a Tree Preservation Order, permission was still granted.
The decision reportedly infuriated local residents, who accused the couple of environmental disregard and filed formal objections.
"No justification is given for felling these substantial trees, other than the applicant's wish to allow re-landscaping of part of their garden," one neighbour’s letter stated.
The dispute over landscaping and the resulting tension are believed to be key reasons behind the couple’s decision to move after six years in the home.
