The Hong Kong Sixes 2025 begins on November 7, featuring 12 teams in a dynamic six-a-side cricket competition.
Established in the 1990s, the Hong Kong Sixes offers a fast-paced cricket format designed to showcase international players to fans in Hong Kong, an ICC Associate Member. Unlike one-off exhibition matches, it developed into an annual international event with full participation from cricket boards.
The tournament was initially held from 1993 to 1997, resumed between 2001 and 2012, briefly returned in 2017, and was relaunched in 2024.
All games will take place at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground in Hong Kong. The group stage uses a single round-robin system, with the top two teams from each pool moving on to the quarterfinals.
Following the group phase, the competition proceeds to a knockout stage consisting of single elimination matches. Teams failing to reach the knockouts play in separate bowl and plate fixtures to establish their final rankings.
Dinesh Karthik will captain India, which will miss Ravichandran Ashwin due to injury.
