Edinburgh Trams will honor Remembrance Sunday (9 November) and Armistice Day (11 November) to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in World War I, World War II, and recent conflicts.
To recognize the sacrifices of military personnel, Edinburgh Trams will offer free tram travel for veterans and active members of the Army, Navy, and Air Force on both days. Eligible passengers can access this by showing military ID or wearing their uniform.
“Each year I am proud to show our support at Edinburgh Trams on both Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day. As a former veteran myself, and with several colleagues also having served, we are passionate about honoring those who paid the ultimate price while serving our country.” — Lea Harrison, Managing Director of Edinburgh Trams
Author’s summary: Edinburgh Trams actively honors military sacrifices with free travel for service members, poppy sales, memorial displays, and a moment of silence on key remembrance days.
