Canada made new trade concessions in talks with the U.S. but the Trump administration claims these do not go far enough. A Reuters source reports that Mexico has handled the USMCA negotiations in a realistic way, unlike Canada which has not matched with further changes. Both sides hope to finish by July 2026 but scant progress has followed.
