A trailer for "The Exorcist: Martyrs" made its debut Friday at New York Comic Con, with Scarlett Johansson playing a character tracking a demonic killer. The film is directed by Mike Flanagan and acts as both a sequel and a reboot of the long-running horror franchise.

Flanagan says the project leans into "The Exorcist III" and describes it as the most unsettling project he has tackled. He told reporters the film was designed to feel dangerous and that it made him noticeably unsettled during production.
