The PGA Tour said he wagered on championship matches. His betting occurred on several Tour events throughout the season. The suspension takes effect immediately and continues for six months. The ban remains six months.
ESPN and Golf Channel announced the finding on Wednesday. Golf Digest and Golfweek repeated the story later that day. The league said his bets involved Tour competitions. He cannot play or collect prize money during the disciplinary period.
