Penarth’s small Welsh vineyard is a compact winery where Bernard and Tanya Herbert planted their first vines in 1999. By 2001 all 10 acres were bearing fruit, with varieties including Madeleine Angevine and Pinot Noir, with Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay for sparkling wine. The vineyard has no own winery and wines are produced by Three Choirs at Newent. The vineyard’s status remains independent.
