Nissan announced a recall for its X‑Trail SUV. The recall covers a fault in the steering column that may influence handling. A 2025 model in dark metallic is available online at about AU$45,000. The 2026 version adds Google built‑in technology and an explorer edition. Auto Express reported that the upgrades appear subtle on the road. Nissan says spare components will be supplied without a fee.

The company also unveiled the Tekton SUV aimed at India and Africa. Will be built in Nissan’s plant in Japan for export for export. The rollout in South Africa is due shortly.
