Nelson Toburen, a linebacker who won two NFL championships with the Green Bay Packers under coach Vince Lombardi, has died at 87 after a battle with cancer.
Toburen was part of the Lombardi era, one of the most celebrated periods in Packers history. The team ruled the NFL during those years, and Toburen contributed to that period of dominance.
After his playing career ended, Toburen later worked as a judge in Kansas, a role that shaped his post-football years.
