The cruise liner Mein Schiff 3 ran into two container ships in stormy weather causing considerable destruction and canceling the cruise voyage. German police stated that powerful gusts forced the cruise liner against the container ships damaging lifeboats. The captain is being investigated and the incident has received extensive media coverage.
