He travels to France and will attend the State of the EU address.

According to reports, he has suggested making Canada an associated partner of the EU.

Carney stated visa regulations and potential visa-free travel will be part of the negotiations.

Some commentators note the EU's warm view of Carney does not guarantee easier trade agreements.
