Josh Worrell, Adelaide Crows forward, who is a promising player, was in a minor crash that happened Friday before training session for the next Gold Coast match.
The accident hurt a local pedestrian, who authorities then took to the hospital.
Worrell was not detained at the scene of the crash.
Teammates told reporters in the media room Worrell seemed upset after the crash.
Police now examine the incident as described, and have released a statement to the press.
The club has said they will assess if Worrell can play on the field against Gold Coast, pending fitness assessment, if fit, and will evaluate the decision shortly.
