Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has halted taking new applications for family visa sponsorship for elderly relatives. Families can not file any new forms to bring elderly relatives to Canada. The government offered no clarity on when or the suspension will end. New changes to immigration rules came just before the shutdown. This week data on work permit delays emerged. Yet, no plan to address the current delays was shared.
