Daniel Tupou has stepped away from the game just days after the Sydney Roosters lifted the premiership trophy. The winger departs the competition as a four-time premiership winner, all earned with the Roosters, having never suited up for a rival team.
The Roosters described themselves as "lost for words" at his departure. Tupou's whole playing life was spent in red, white and blue, cementing his place as one of the most dedicated one-club men in the competition's recent history.
